Finham Treatment Works

(Intermediate Case Study)

Case Study - Finham Pan 677

George Law has a strong tradition of working on water treatment facilities and although we rarely work direct for water authorities due to major framework agreements, our skills in this unique and challenging sector are still relied upon by larger contractors.

Major revamp work is well underway at Severn Trent Water’s Finham Sewage Treatment Works for the replacement of the sludge recycling facilities, including the refurbishment of the inlet works along with improvements to storage tanks, additional odour control and site traffic management.

The contract, one of many George Law has undertaken with Principle Contractor Costain Group PLC, is designed to reduce the impact to the environment and reduce long term costs.  The current treatment works will remain live throughout the project, processing over 1,300 litres of sewage every second.

Other Project George Law have recently undertaken for Costain Group PLC:-

  • Broadway Treatment Works
  • Bushley Green Treatment Works
  • Itchen Bank Treatment Works
  • Kerswell Green Treatment Works
  • Rock Treatment Works
  • Rugby (Newbold) Treatment Works

A full case study for the project will be posted on completion.
